Privacy Policy

What we collect

Plantkin stores the following data entirely on your device:

• Plant names, notes, and journal entries you create
• Photos you attach to plants or journal entries
• NFC tag identifiers used to link physical markers to your plants

This data never leaves your device.

What we don't collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store:

• Your name or any account information
• Your location or device identifiers
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Any data for advertising purposes

Third-party services

Plantkin uses Sentry for crash reporting. If the app crashes, an anonymous error report containing your device type, OS version, and a technical stack trace is sent to Sentry's servers. No journal content or photos are ever included. You can review Sentry's privacy policy at sentry.io/privacy.

The app includes optional feedback and plant request forms powered by Formspree. If you choose to submit a form, your email address and the content of your message are sent to Formspree's servers so we can respond. These forms are entirely optional and only triggered by you — no data is sent passively.

The app is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple may collect certain diagnostic and usage data as part of the iOS platform. See Apple's Privacy Policy for details.

Data storage & deletion

All Plantkin data is stored locally on your device. We have no access to it and cannot recover it on your behalf. To delete your data, delete the Plantkin app from your device.

Children's privacy

Plantkin does not knowingly collect any personal information. The app is safe for users of all ages.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with an updated date. Significant changes — such as adding cloud sync or accounts in a future version — will be communicated in the app.
